    Shift from Advocate to HR Strategy Architect
    Defining Strategies for Military Talent Engagement 

    THIS SESSION IS APPROVED FOR 1.5 HRCI Credits  

    Participants attending this meeting will learn how to shift gears from being military friendly to military ready in addressing the full business cycle from successful outreach through ongoing engagement. Participants will learn critical strategies in the phases of an effective engagement action plan tied to business goals that deliver operational results.  From leadership championing, through interviewing, accommodations, bridging cultures, and performance management, this interactive evening will be informative and will deliver useful adaptable resources.

    About the Speaker  

    Sherrill A. Curtis, SPHR is the Principal and Creative Director of Curtis Consulting Group, LLC, specializing in strategic human resources and business management solutions for Fortune 500 clients and small business clients. Her workshops focus on leadership, skill development and coaching inspiring clients, audiences and students to experience purpose driven growth.

    "Sherrill is the author of "Support from Behind the Lines: 10 Steps to a Military Ready Employer" (SHRM 4/12) a comprehensive guide to source, engage and support military connected talent.  Through guest speaking engagements and frequent media interviews, she advocates for workplace strategies to successfully integrate military, their families and those differently abled."

    Honored with three SHRM Pinnacle Awards in workforce readiness for military and children, Ms. Curtis serves on numerous Advisory Boards; is Workforce Readiness Director for the Garden State Council-SHRM; VP Workforce Readiness for Morris County-SHRM; Co-Founder for the Women's Institute at Bergen Community College and adjunct faculty with several NJ colleges.  Her passion is to assist others in discovering and then following a career path that brings joy to their lives experiencing success as they define it.
