    Presented by Gerry Crispin

Intelligent recruiting software assistants will radically alter hiring practices but, as important, it will be TA leaders with decades of experience and with their their own ideas about what will work and in what combination that will 'train' them. They will lead the way to AI. Practitioners' vision not vendors will increasingly demand solutions for what is really needed. What can you imagine?

Everyone is connected but are we really tracking and leveraging all the relationships between ourselves, our hiring managers, their teams etc. etc.? New insights about candidate connections and the value relationships bring to hiring are emerging. What would a true, unbiased referral recruiting model look like?

The candidate as customer has always been a nice to have cliche but never a compelling business necessity...until now. There are 5 musts to achieving a quality Candidate Experience rating. How many have you incorporated?

Gerry Crispin describes himself as a life-long student of recruiting with a passion for conversation and story telling. In truth there are few recruiting jobs he hasn't had in more than 40 years as a professional in HR, as a vendor, consultant, author and facilitator. More than an observer, Gerry influences staffing models to be driven by the evidence; promotes candidate experiences that empower them to make better decisions in partnership with corporate selection practices; and, embraces technology-based networking tools as a primary means to build 2-way candidate pipelines.

CareerXroads ( was founded in 1995, and today is a premier, peer-to-peer community of global TA Leaders that share unconditionally what keeps them up at night and what they are doing about it now. Members care deeply about improving their recruiting strategy, technology systems and business results. Even more important, they share openly what works and, what doesn’t.

In 2010, Gerry joined with other volunteers in the industry to form TalentBoard, a global non-profit organization to research how Candidates are treated and support employers by defining, measuring and honoring firms who treat their candidates as partners in the hiring process (

After five years of conversation behind the scenes, Gerry helped launch the Association for Talent Acquisition Professionals ( in January 2017 with the idea of supporting regional recruiting societies like SMA (which he founded in 2004) and elevating what has been mostly a craft and a trade- at best a function of HR, to a stand-alone profession we can all be proud of.
