Having a clear vision of HR’s role in organizational success is critical as we move into the next decade. There is a significant prescription change in 2020 from traditional HR functions to viewing HR as a valuable partner contributing to business solutions. As HR Professionals, we need to challenge ourselves to remove the rose-colored glasses and take a hard look at what we do, what we deliver and how we can positively impact the success of our organization. In 2020 and beyond, HR will be at the forefront inspiring and leading how companies manage, develop and support their most valuable resources, their people and strategically chart a path for sustainability and growth. 

The GSC SHRM Annual Conference and Expo will motivate you to strive for 2020 vision by opening your eyes to hot topics on the horizon for employers, providing an update on labor and employment laws and offering valuable insights and perspectives from industry leaders and conference sponsors and exhibitors. This year’s GSC-SHRM Conference & Expo, scheduled for October 11-13, 2020, marks the 29th anniversary of this important event. Despite the pandemic, we continue to provide excellent educational and networking opportunities via a virtual platform for the HR professionals in the Garden State and surrounding areas.  Our programming for the Conference & Expo will include 30 concurrent sessions, 9 mega sessions, 1 general session along with 2 outstanding keynote sessions.  Integrated throughout our event will be numerous networking and conference activities, including the opportunity to visit with our conference sponsors & exhibitors who offer valuable services that can ease the challenges you face on a daily basis as HR professionals.

This year, our charity of choice is the SHRM Foundation. The SHRM Foundation advances global human capital knowledge and practice by providing thought leadership and educational support and by sponsoring, funding and driving the adoption of cutting-edge, actionable, evidence-based research. They provide numerous scholarships for professionals seeking an HR degree, HR certification or development through conference attendance. We will be hosting an on-line auction during the conference to support the work of the Foundation.
