    Eliminating Unconscious Bias in Recruiting

A revolutionary discussion for a revolutionary approach!

There is no shame or blame here: Implicit biases are merely based on one’s experiences that form one’s perceptions. Unconscious biases don’t necessarily make for bad recruiters. But they can make for poor hiring decisions. Taking it a step further, a company’s internal norms, policies and training procedures can perpetuate a biased culture.

Although unintentional, intuition leads to discriminatory decisions about people and therefore talent acquisition results. Okay, so we know it’s real. It’s been a topic of conversation for years. Now what?

Join us for an honest, enlightening discussion with subject matter experts, Torin Ellis and Dr. Heather Myers, as they share insights on and strategies for:

-Recognizing where psychological safety and stereotype threats are showing up in the workplace

-Understanding the netted effects of ‘gut feelings’ on culture, productivity and business success

-Progressing inclusion and representation – both in mindset and practice

It takes a long-term commitment, discipline and ongoing effort to overcome unconscious bias.
